All About Me!
I began teaching in 2003 at Morningview Elementary. I spent one year teaching third grade before moving to second grade for the following three years. I loved my time there, but as my children entered "school age" I realized I wanted to be in the same county as them.
I was very blessed to immediately get a job in Autauga County. I spent three years in Autaugaville teaching fourth grade; Math, Science and Alabama History. My time focusing on those three subjects allowed me to find a passion for being a Math teacher. I genuinely love what I do. In 2010 I was invited to join the crew at Prattville Elementary where I have remained since then.
I am the mother of four very energetic children! Our oldest daughter and son, Hanna and Robbie, graduated from Prattville High School in 2016 and 2019. Our youngest children, Lila and Colton aren't far behind! In 2021 our oldest daughter married Sam Ross, and in July of 2022 we welcomed our first granddaughter, Emilia Kate, into the world!
My husband, David, and I both grew up as the third of four children, and together have 19 nieces and nephews. We cherish the times we spend with them and enjoy the hustle of a big family.
Our class is my school family. I absolutely love teaching and being a part of the children's lives. I love hearing what the kids have to say about things. Their perception of the world keeps me laughing! It is an honor to have a career that is as fulfilling as the one I have here at PES.
